>FIELD OF APPLICATION

• It is used for bonding XPS, EPS and rockwool thermal insulation boards in all buildings.

• Not applicable on unstable and low resistance surfaces.

• Unit volume mass of fresh mortar with voids: 1500±100 kg/m 3
• Sieve analysis: Amount remaining on the sieve at 1 mm aperture ≤ 1.0%
• Hollow unit volume mass of hardened cementitious plaster:1300±200 kg/m 3
• Compressive strength: ≥ 6.0 N/mm 2
• Bond strength to substrate: ≥ 0.5 N/mm 2
• Adhesion strength to thermal insulation board: ≥ 0.08 N/mm 2
• Water absorption (after 30 minutes): ≤ 5 gr
• Water absorption (after 240 minutes): ≤ 10 gr

These values have been obtained as a result of laboratory experiments and are valid for the performance of the finished applications at the end of the full drying period. Values may vary due to differences in the construction site environment.

APPLICATION FEATURES

• Usable time of the prepared mortar: 3 hours.
• Time required to apply plaster on the pasted insulation board: 2 days.

SURFACE PREPARATION

• The surface must be clean, dry, smooth and solid.
• Very porous surfaces should be wetted and waited until the water layer disappears so that the surface remains moist.
• Significant defects or holes in the surface should be repaired with weber.rep MA 200 at least 24 hours before weber.therm YP application.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

• Ambient temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C.
• Avoid applying under the sun in very humid and/or very hot weather.
• It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, melting or at risk of frost within 24 hours.

APPLICATION

• Average 6 lt. 25 kg of weber.therm YP should be mixed thoroughly with a low-speed mixer or trowel so that there are no lumps.
• The mortar should be rested for 10 minutes before application.
• 5 mm from the edges to surround the weber.therm YP insulation board. It should be applied all around, taking care to remain intact.
• 3 large pieces of weber.therm YP should be applied pointwise to the middle part.
• In cases where the surface to be sheathed is very smooth, toothed trowel method can also be applied.
• It should be noted that 40% of the insulation board is covered with adhesive. In order not to act as a conductor, glue should never be overflowed into the joints.
• Depending on the weather conditions, weber.therm SV can be applied to the insulation boards adhered with weber.therm YP after 2 days.

• The specified times are valid at 20 o C surface and ambient temperature, the time is extended at low temperatures and shortened at high temperatures.

WARNINGS AND SUGGESTIONS

• The insulation boards should be placed close to each other, and the gaps between the boards should be as small as possible in order to prevent heat transfer.
