USE

>FIELD OF APPLICATION

It is used as a waterproofing material under ceramics in interior and exterior spaces of all buildings, especially in wet areas such as balconies, bathrooms, toilets and kitchens, and under paint and coating on exteriors.

>APPLICATION SURFACES

Cement-based screeds, plasters, exposed concrete and slabs
Gypsum based surfaces ( weber.prim max applied)
Metal surfaces ( weber.prim EP 2K applied)
Consult us for all other application substrates.

>SUITABLE FINISHING OPTIONS

Acrylic-based paints, exterior coatings and ceramic coatings are applied as a top coat to weber.dry SS-5 applied surfaces.

APPLICATION LIMIT

Not applicable against negative water pressure.
Not applicable in drinking water tanks.

APPLICATION FEATURES

Mechanical strength gain time: 7 days.
Waiting time between coats: min. 6 hours.
Full drying time: 48 hours.
Application thickness: 1-1.5 mm.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Mold oil, etc., which prevents surface adhesion. It must be clean, smooth and sound, free of debris and loose parts.
Significant defects and holes in the surface at least 24 hours before weber.dry SS-5 application weber.rep MA 200 ; In cases where rapid application or sulfate resistance is required, it should be repaired with weber.rep HKS .

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

Ambient Temperature: + 5 °C to + 30 °C.
Application in very humid and/or very hot weather should be avoided.
It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, melting or where there is a risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.

APPLICATION

For weber.dry SS-5 primer coat, 40% water should be added and mixed thoroughly until it becomes homogeneous and applied to the surface.
After the primer coat has dried, weber.dry SS-5 should be applied to the entire surface in at least 2 coats with a roller, brush or spray.
Fine cracks, joints, corners and edges should be supported with polyester felt after the first coat application.
After the first coat has dried, the second coat should be applied perpendicular to the first.
Wait at least 6 hours between coats.
The specified times are valid at 20 °C surface and ambient temperature, the time is extended at low temperatures and shortened at high temperatures.

WARNINGS AND SUGGESTIONS

Salt water should never be used.
Absolutely no foreign materials should be added.
Dilatation joints on the application surfaces should not be closed with weber.dry SS-5 , the continuity of the insulation at these points should be ensured with weber superflex dilatation insulation tapes.
In wet area applications, moving points and vertical and horizontal corners should be supported with weber corner insulation tapes .
All tools used after the application should be washed with water before drying.
