ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED ABOUT THE APPLICATION AND USE OF THE TILES:
Mistakes made during the application and use of tiles cause the loss of the aesthetic beauty and hygienic feature desired by the final consumer in the product. Therefore, some points to be considered are:
6.1 MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED IN APPLICATION OF TILES :
* The master who will do the flooring should be chosen well, it is recommended that the masters be certified.
* The area (quantity) of the space to be covered must be calculated in advance.
* Before laying the Tile Ceramics, attention should be paid to the color, size, type and quality signs on the box. The tiles in different tones (numbers) should be separated and the tiles in the remaining boxes should be mixed and laid.
* As much as possible, the tiles to be laid should be laid on the ground first, and possible color tone differences should be distributed over the area to be laid.
* The floor must be saturated with water at least 24 hours in advance.
* There must be sufficient illumination during the application.
* During the application, the ground on which the application will be made must be provided.
* The tools required for laying the tiles must be available completely.
* Depending on the weather, in dry and hot weather, tiles should be moistened to prevent sudden moisture loss of the adhesive mortar before laying.
* If there is a risk of frost at night, necessary precautions should be taken. It should not be laid below 0 ºC
* A rubber mallet should be used during the application.
* While preparing our grouting material, wear a mask to avoid breathing the dust that spreads to the environment.
* While preparing the adhesive mortar and grouting material, the instructions for use on the package must be followed.
* If there is a plane error (leveling problem) on the floor or wall to be covered with tiles, it must be eliminated before starting the application. (Checking with miter, plumb, etc.)
* After placing the ceramics, let's put the joint pros on the joints. Let's leave a space with the joint pluses so that it can enter between the joint fillers.
* Tile Ceramics should be laid with at least 1 – 3 mm joint according to the Rectification Condition of the Product.
* Let's lay the ceramics from the bottom up, starting over the gauge we placed under the wall. The ceramics we lay from above may slide down during the process. This prevents us from laying the ceramics properly.
* Tiles must be applied with joints. There will be tile volume changes or movements in the construction over time in the face of temperature differences in the environment. If it is zero jointed , the forces formed as a result of these movements will come on the tile and it will crack and swell over time and will separate from the place where it is covered or create glaze ruptures on the edges of the tile .
* The joints must be filled 24 – 48 hours after the tile application is completed. Grouting material should be used in accordance with the user manual. After 20-30 minutes after the joints are filled, the excess on the edges should be removed with the help of a spatula and the tile surfaces should be wiped with a sponge or sponge.
* Mortar, adhesive or joint filler should not be smeared on decorated products.
* Joint fillers prepared with a mixture of cement or marble powder are definitely not recommended as they will have high water permeability. The biggest problem encountered in joints with high water permeability is the expansion of the adhesive due to the moisture in the underlying adhesive layer, which causes the tiles to separate from the adhesive. * Adhesives must have at least 80% contact with the back of the tile.
* If you encounter any problems before or during laying , DO NOT continue laying..! inform the dealer. If necessary, ask them to give an idea about the subject.
* Be sure to keep some tiles and an empty box in case of any problem, it can help when needed.
* In case of non-compliance with the Flooring Details Specified Above, the Responsibility belongs to the Consumer.
