Thanks to modern plumbing systems, it is possible to save a significant amount of water in residences and public spaces. But at first glance it is difficult to measure how economical the product is. WELL certificate was developed to solve this problem.
It is often not easy to track the water savings of plumbing products. That's why the European plumbing industry umbrella organization and several well-known manufacturers, including Geberit, have developed a classification system that provides instant information on the water savings of products. The WELL classification system (Water Conservation Certificate) is based on symbols used for motor vehicles and electronic equipment.
In addition to water savings, hygiene, number of discharge programs (for WC and urinals), temperature limit, sensor control (for sink siphons and shower fittings) are also evaluated according to the product group. Geberit aims to include every product relevant to the European market in the classification of the WELL certificate. Geberit products are classified and receive the highest marks.
